Bahá’í Summer Camp July 14-20, 2025
The Bahá’ís of Alaska host a winter and a summer camp each year that bring together young people ages 13 – 18 from around the state. The camps focus on serving the whole person by nurturing the physical, intellectual, artistic, and spiritual aspects of our beings. All campers and their parents/guardians are required to sign a Noble Being Agreement as an acknowledgement of an agreement to uphold the standards, behaviors and attitudes required of all participants. We all contribute to the positive, uplifting, and inclusive environment of the camp. All registered campers agree to strive to develop an atmosphere of fellowship and love amongst all participants and contribute to a unifying and joyful environment. Campers will dress and interact with others in ways that reflect moderation and Bahá’í standards of chastity. No alcohol, drugs, tobacco, vape or weapons are permitted at the camp.
If it is your first time attending one of our camps, we ask that you have a conversation with one of the camp organizers to determine how to best prepare for the camp. For more information on these gatherings, contact Robbie or Carolyn (see below).
Payment: Cash or Checks made payable to Bahá’í National Fund due the first day of the camp.
What Happens at the camp?
Healthy Recreation and Friendship-Building (e.g., swimming, hiking, team building games, nature walking)
Creative Endeavors (e.g., painting, storytelling, drama, singing)
Spiritual Practices (e.g., meditation, personal prayer, and reflection)
Skill Building (e.g., consultation, outdoor recreation skills, personal financial management)
Facilitated study of Materials based on moral and spiritual concepts common to most faith traditions and talk about how to navigate a complex world, resist negative forces in our lives, and promote social progress.

Transportation will be provided from Anchorage to/from Camp Gorsuch.
